Voyager Timeline

An attempt to make a timeline for Voyager's seasons 1-3

This timeline was originally constructed after Win Eckert's Star Trek timeline  Geoffrey Mandel's "Star Charts" and my own suggestions. recently I have used the information in  Jeff Ayer's "Voyages of Imagination" which is without doubt the definite Star Trek timeline, to re-edit the original Timeline on this site. The suggestions for days and months in the column to the right are made with the help of a stardate converter I have found on several Internet sites, among them this site.

The stardates for the episodes are the official Paramount stardates, except for the episodes “Maneuvers”, “Investigations” and “Before And After”. The stardates for those episodes are completly wrong and don't fit into the order of the episodes. The stardates for the episodes which haven't official stardates are either taken from "Star Charts" or constructed by me when the stardates in "Star Charts" don't fit into the order of the episodes.

The stardates for the books are made up by me with the help of Win Eckert's timeline and Jeff Ayer's "Voyagers Of Imagination which I have used to fit the book episodes into the existing timeline. Most of the stardates in the books are totally out of order, for example the stardate mentioned in "Incident At Arbuk is 48135.6 which is actually before Voyager arrived to the Caretaker's array! It has been altered to 48531.6 in "Voyages Of Imagination" but I took the liberty to state that the events in the book started at Stardate 48806 because I would like to suggest that the events in “Incident At Arbuk”will take place some time after “Ex Post Facto”.

Why? Because in “Ex Post Facto”, Tuvok is doing a mind meld with Tom Paris and everybody seem a bit upset about it, at least Neelix. In “Incident At Arbuk”, Tuvok is doing a mind meld with a Sperian more and less on Janeway’s orders and this time no one seems to have any objections, despite that this mind meld has some strange effects. I therefore assume that the events in "Incident At Arbuk takes place after “Ex Post Facto”.  I took the liberty to place the events in the book after "Faces" but shortly before "Jetrel" because of the timespace needed for the events in the book.

In "Voyages Of Imagination", the events in the book "Violations" are placed before the episode "Phage" which is not correct since Kes, who is described as a nurse in the book didn't become that until after the events in "Phage". I took the liberty of placing the events in "Violations" betwen the episodes "State Of Flux" and "Heroes And Demons" because of the timespace needed for the events in the book and referrings to events in "Ex Post Facto". 

In "Voyages Of  Imagination" the main events in the book "Mosaic" is placed between "Tattoo" and "Cold Fire". But the events in the book must take place after "Meld" because Tuvok's mind-meld with Suder is discussed by Kes and The Doctor in the first chapter of the book. The Trabe also appears in the book and Voyager had their first contact with the Trabe in the episode "Alliances", shortly before "Meld". So I took the liberty to place the events in the book shortly after "Meld".

The events in the book "Her Klingon Soul" have been placed according to the Stardate in "Voyages Of Imagination".

The mention of a newborn baby in "Chrysalis" means that the episode must take place some time after "Deadlock", not between "Lifesigns" and "Investigations" as suggested in "Voyages Of Imagination". I took the liberty to place it between "Resolutions" and "Basics" where there's a four month long period where nothing is happening.

The stardate 491750.0 in the book "The Black Shore is not correct. Even if it is wrong printing with a zero too much it would still not be correct since the stardate 49175.0 would place the episode shortly after the season 2 episode "Cold Fire". Since the events in "The Black Shore" shows that Voyager recently has left Kazon space, the stardate 50175, suggested on Memory Beta would be more correct and places the events in the book between the events in the season 3 episodes "The Chute" and "Remember".

The stardate 50573.2 in "Marooned" is wrong because the events in the book takes place after the episode "Before and After". In "Voyages Of Imagination", the events in "Marooned" are placed between the episodes "Real Life" and "Distant Origin". I changed the stardate to 50873 which is between the stardates for those episodes.

Some book episodes had to be squeezed in where there are enough time space between two TV episodes to make room for another adventure.

As stated before, this is only a suggestion for a timeline. Comments and other suggestions are welcome.
